Gearing up for the Fight Ahead
I’m afraid that I don’t have many sources for this issue of the Mad Sociologist Blog. I’ve shared the few that I mention in the video. My goal here is to share some of my struggles with the election results as well as reminding us that we need to prepare for the coming fight. We stand to lose a great deal. Withdrawing from the stage is not an option. We need to focus our efforts and build on the foundations of left-wing movements that came before us. We need to support the pillars of democracy that will surely come under attack…namely Public Schools and Academia, Small “d” Democratic Associations, The Media, and Unions.
We also need to find common cause with liberals and small “d” democratic conservatives. We are all in the same boat.
